Project Manager, Nellie Mae Education Foundation Grant/Pathways Development, 2014-2016

  • Responsible for overseeing the last year of a three year, $3,900,000 grant and then a one-year, $400,000 transition grant to develop educational programming and supports, and advocate for their integration into the school. This has included professional development, virtual learning, extended learning opportunities, service learning, community collaboration and special projects, programming for at-risk students, outreach workers, technology integration and tech support

  • Beginning the groundwork to establish and move forward the development of the Sanford Alumni Association and the Sanford Schools Legacy Foundation as vehicles for educational support

Building Assets, Reducing Risks (B.A.R.R.) Site Coordinator, 2011-2014

  • Overseeing a $360,000 grant and implementation of newly-developed strategies and curriculum designed to further increase student academic success during the important transition year of ninth grade

  • Working with Search Institute and three other partner schools to share experiences and refine strategies, including the iTime curriculum, weekly academic data review and discussion, and recording of teacher intervention strategies and referrals

  • Served as a liaison between the school's Student Assistance Team and the freshman teamed teaching program in order to facilitate social servicing for more students

  • Organizing and coordinating site visits as needed by the evaluation team and visitors from partner schools as well as other schools in Maine that have expressed interest in the program
